New Release - Version 1.24
2009.4.1
IOMeeting released version 1.24 today. As usual, users don't need to do anything to get the upgrade.
New Features:
- We now support meeting recording by using our own WebDV browser. Use WebDV to start or join a meeting, then you can record the meeting to a MPEG-4 file on your machine. The recording contains everything in the meeting, including document sharing, desktop sharing, chat, audio and video. For security, host has control of who can record a meeting. On 'Meeting Options' dialog and 'Recording' tab, host has 3 options of recording permission: 'Always ask' (when someone starts recording, always ask host for permission. Host can accept or deny the request. This is the default.), 'Only host' (no one except host can record) or 'Everyone' (every participant can record);
- Desktop and application sharing now supports remote control. During desktop or application sharing, presenter can let any participant to control the desktop or application. Presenter can also request any participant to share desktop. The remote control supports all mouse events like click, move and drag, mouse buttons and all standard keys on keyboard, including combinations like Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V. And the remote control is cross platform, for example, a Windows participant can control Mac's or Linux's desktop. IOMeeting is the first product in the technical world that supports remote controlling a real desktop using a web page, and we are very proud of it!
